Happy Easter! He is risen, He is risen indeed! The card I created for Easter was inspired by the memory of my Aunt Sharon. Every Easter my Aunt Sherry would decorate the cross in the front of our church with flowers .I always looked forward to seeing how beautiful the cross would look at sunrise service on Easter morning. My aunt was instrumental in decorating our church and she always made it look so beautiful! Love you and miss you so much Aunt Sherry!
I used a whisper white card base with a blushing bride mat. The mat was embossed with the subtle embossing folder. I used the ornate frame dies to die cut the frame surrounding the cross. The sky was sponged with balmy blue, blushing bride and highland heather. The cross was first embossed with the pinewood planks embossing folder, and then cut out with Cross of Hope die. The mountains were stamped with the Mountain Air stamp with soft suede ink. The grass and lavender were stamped from the My Meadow and Beautiful Moments stamp sets.
The flowers and leaves were die cut using the Cherry Blossom dies.
I just love to shape flowers. I find it to be relaxing. Hope you will try something new today. Maybe it will be paper flowers. Until next time, create something special to celebrate the gems of your life.
